When we think about beaches, the things that pop out in our memory are nothing but the pure white sands, the huge waves, shells and the sunset. Nothing more than this can make your day go special than watching a sunset, sitting on a white sand with a cocktail/mocktail to lust your thirst.
There are certain beaches around the world which will indeed surprise you. Now, when I say surprise, it does not refer to the scenic beauty of the beaches but, it is defining the most unusual things that is highlighting the beach. Can you imagine a beach without white sand? There are beaches around the world which have black, red and even green sands on its shores. Some are adventurous. Have a glimpse of those most unusual beaches around the world. When I say starry, it does not refer to the stars reflection. Instead, if you have a look at the Starry Beach in Maldives, you will see that the water that comes to the shore during night gives off light. Experts say that the reason for the lights on this beach is because of the microscopic bioluminescent phytoplankton when they are agitated by the surf.
Pink Sand Beach
It is indeed a good sight to see the whole area covered with pink sands. Yes, I am referring to the Pink Sand Beach in Bahamas. The color of the sand here is pink and it is said that the color is due to the corals that are washed up on to the shore due to high tides and broken into tiny pieces.
You guessed it right. The whole of the shore here is covered with shells. The Shell Beach in Australia is so because of the presence of molluscs. They come to the shore and cover the area with their shells!
Purple Sand Beach
Purple Sand Beach in California is so much pleasing to your eyes as they are covered with a purple color here and there due to the presence of manganese that are pushed to the shore by water from the surrounding hills.
OMG! Vik Beach is so blacky. You can only see black beaches in Iceland as the land suffers a lot of volcanic eruptions that ultimately results in having a lot of volcanic black beaches.
Green Sand Beach
You read it right. The whole beach in Hawaii is having a green color due to the presence of Olivine, a mineral which is formed by lava. It gets cooled in the sea which gives the sand a green color.
You will be quite alarmed to know what makes Maho Beach an unusual one. The beach sees extreme airplane landings quite often.
