PayTM Diwali Sale 2016 To Kick Start From Nov 3 Till 5

We saw a huge spike in traffic as well as in sales for online sites like Amazon, Flipkart and Snapdeal when they had specific sales for Dussehra. Amazon even wrapped up their pre-diwali sale titled Amazon Great Indian Diwali Sale on 28th October that reaped a 250% growth in sellers and customer traffic. Flipkart sold about $200 million (or Rs 1300 crores) worth of mobile phones which is about two-thirds of its overall sales, from a five-day sale that ended on October 17.

Now, yet another online store is all set to join this festive sale marathon on cool discounts and offers. Yes! PayTM has announced their three-day Diwali sale that will kick start from Nov 3 till 5th.

Paytm has announced this sale after the other biggies have wrapped up their sale. Moreover, Paytm has made sure that their sale is quite near to Diwali and its related shopping when people are actually on the festive mood.     PayTM is expecting festive sales up to Rs.1000 crores! This compares to a whopping Rs.19,500 crores of sale done by Flipkart.

    Will be spending near to Rs.100 crore on marketing grounds and is planning to extend it till December.

    PayTM has already got around 80,000 sellers on board and is expecting to list around 3 million unique products on the website.

    PayTM will be offering up to 80% discounts and double cash back offers on all categories of products.

    The main focus will be on metros.

    The ruling categories in this discount marathon will be mobile phones and ethnic apparels.

    They expect around 25-30% of sales, for this festive season in these 3 days.

    They are expecting the gifts and sweets category to see more transactions.

    They have signed up with more than 30 delivery companies including Delhivery and BlueDart for uninterrupted delivery during the festive season.

It has recently raised $500 million in a new tranche of funding and so expects the festive season to boost its sales and traffic. Let’s wait and see how it will go for PayTM.
